Playing Sic Bo Online
Sic Bo is a popular casino game. It is played by many in Asia and more commonly known as Dai Siu in Macau casinos. In the Philippines it is called Hi-Lo. Its introduction into the USA was by Chinese immigrants who brought the game with them in the early 20th century. It gained popularity and can now be played in most American land-based casinos. Online Sic Bo can also be played in many online casinos too. From 2002, Sic Bo has also been legalized in licensed casinos in the United Kingdom.
Playing Sic Bo
The game is simple - you make a bet on a dice roll result. Then the dice are rolled. If the result you bet on appears, you win; if it does not, you lose your bet.
The game is played on a table that illustrates the 50 permissible bets in pictorial form, with their associated payout. Players place their bets on the appropriate section of the gaming table, much like roulette. The dice are usually tumbled in a basket by the dealer, who indicates the result on the table. Winning combinations are then lit up and the dealer pays out the lucky winners and removes the unsuccessful bets.
A player can make any number of bets on the Sic Bo table. Outcomes are based on the combinations that come up on the three dice. Payoff combinations are listed on a roulette-style table top that is often lit from underneath in winning areas of the layout to indicate winning combinations. The wagers available and their associated odds can differ from place to place.
Click on a chip of desired value to select it. Then click on any bet area on the table to place your bet. Every click on the area adds one chip to the bet. Select another chip if you wish to increase the bet by some other amount. Right clicking on the area removes one chip. You can place several chips into several areas at the same time. Click the Roll button. Dice are now rolled and you will see the game result. Click New Game if you wish to play again. Place your bets as described above and click Roll. You can also click "re-Bet" to place the same bet as in the previous round.
You may place multiple bets at the same time. You can identify the different bet areas on the table by placing the cursor on an area and reading the info text on the status bar at the low edge of the screen.
The pay ratios for the total bet depends on the sum as follows:
Total of 4 60 to 1
Total of 5 30 to 1
Total of 6 17 to 1
Total of 7 12 to 1
Total of 8 8 to 1
Total of 9 6 to 1
Total of 10 6 to 1
Total of 11 6 to 1
Total of 12 6 to 1
Total of 13 8 to 1
Total of 14 12 to 1
Total of 15 17 to 1
Total of 16 30 to 1
Total of 17 60 to 1
A History of Sic Bo
Sic Bo is a game dating back to ancient China. The name Sic Bo literally means "dice pair", although to add an element of oriental intrigue, the game is played with three dice! Sic Bo is a simple dice game. It is thought that the game was played with bricks tumbled between two plates and an overturned bowl. Over time this drifted to dice and a shaker as is common in today's casino versions. In online Sic Bo "the fate of a human" depends on three bricks and this adds to the excitement.
Tips for Winning at Sic Bo
If you want to be sure of a win, bet on single numbers i.e. the big and small bets. These pay out 1:1 and the probability of getting one of the numbers is high. If you like a bit more excitement and thrill to your game, then add some other bets. You can bet on as many numbers as you want in one game i.e. on one roll of the dice, so don't hold back if you feel like betting more than one number.
